(2) Baletta (Balagopal)

A cousin of Balan. Quite a few of us were very close to him. He was in the underground movement in the 40s. Later he was in Bangalore's Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Probably the first). He went away to Delhi in early 70s. He knew many big politicians but was never really in Politics. He spent most of his last 2 decades in Delhi. He passed away in 2005 in Delhi. Baletta was a bachelor His younger brothers Rajan and Unni were also close to our family --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(3) Anantu (B.S.Anantakrishna)

- Close to us when we were growing up. A cousin of Venkamma - Mechanical Engineer from BMS College.Used to be in several places in TamilNadu - Probably neithr very interested nor sure of what he was doing. But the social service bug bit him in the '80s and then there was no looking back He got involved with several social welfare organizations with Smt Sharada, Smt Yashodharamma Dasappa, SMt P.R.Jayalakshamma and others. In his last ~ 20 years he was deeply involved with Bharatiya grammena sangaha in Vibhutipura near HAL where he looked after hundreds of children and many old ladies. Great instance of a person who found what he wanted do late in life but once he did he did it very well.
